Old News:
-Did anyone go rollerskating with Knellsville 4-H Club? Did anyone play volleyball on the 30th?
New News:
-The Bunny Breakfast is coming! Saturday, April 13 we will be serving pancakes and more from 8-11am at Circle B in Cedarburg. Tickets will be available at all Port Washington State Bank, Circle B, or buy online from March 13-April 9. $6 for adults through 3, children under 2 are free. Volunteers are needed as well!
- National 4-H Service Day is April 27. See the Harbinger to take part!
-The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office has again invited 4-H to be part of the Cops and Kids Day on Sunday, May 5th. Last year there were more than 300 kids at the event, and it was a great way for us to showcase the 4-H program. Cloverleaf will again be doing the food stand, Archery leaders will make that available, and they are looking for more activities such face painting, our Rabbit youth brought their animals, and we coordinated with Home Depot to build kids kits. They are again seeing your help in making the day fun for families. Please contact Christy Knowles at [email protected] if your club or project would be willing to host a station.
- Summer Camp will be from June 26-29 at Camp Lakotah! Registration deadline is March 25.
-The county fair theme this year is “Carnival Lights and Country Nights”. It is the Fair’s 160th Anniversary!
- Fairest of the Fair, Junior Fairest of the Fair and Future Fairest applications are available and due May 1. Applications are posted on the Ozaukee County Fair website at http://www.ozaukeecountyfair.com/contests/.
-WI 4-H & Youth Conference Adult Advisor Application Process is now available at 4HOnline. They are looking for adults to be advisors at the event from June 24-27 in Madison.
-We are looking forward to State Fair! If you are looking for information about Variety Show acts or working at State Fair see the link to Youth Expo info: https://wistatefair.com/competitions/youth-expo/ or the link to Junior Livestock info: https://wistatefair.com/competitions/junior-livestock/.
The only state fair activities that will run through the Extension office are the project exhibits that were selected at last year’s county fair. We do not have that information yet, but will contact families of youth selected to exhibit when the information is available.
-HAPPY NEW HAUNT YEAR OZAUKEE COUNTY 4-H YOUTH & ADULTS!
We are excited to start the planning for the 2019 Haunt and need your help! As you can imagine, the time, planning and preparation to accomplish the approximately $22,500 profit to the Ozaukee County 4-H programs takes many people with a variety of talents. 4-H Haunt meetings will be the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:00pm. If you want more information, have any questions, are interested in being a part of the email communication or committee please fill out this form (https://goo.gl/forms/4gSEUqwDEOluKQXf2) and we will happily add you to a Haunt specific email communication list and the committee can follow-up with you.
